The Shamrock Sprint is Back!

Mandeville, LA — Kelly Kicking Cancer is proud to announce its 11th annual signature fundraising event, the Shamrock Sprint 5K and CERTIFIED 10K (for runners seeking qualifying times for other races), along with a 1 ̊ Mile Fun Run. The event will take place Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Covington Trailhead in downtown Covington.

Race day will feature fun music, making it a true community celebration for runners, walkers, families, and supporters of all ages. Kelly Kicking Cancer is deeply grateful to everyone who has participated in years past and is proud to continue donating event proceeds to fund critical research aimed at eradicating brain cancer.

“This event would not be possible without the overwhelming support of our community,” said Susie O’Mahoney, Chairman of the Board. “I am always amazed by the turnout and forever thankful. Through this race, we continue to honor Kelly’s memory and create a lasting legacy in her name by funding brain cancer research.”

Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 7:00 a.m. The 1 ̊ Mile Fun Run starts at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Shamrock Sprint 5K and 10K at 8:30 a.m. Participants who prefer to walk the course are welcome and may begin immediately after the 5K/10K start. The Covington Trailhead is located at 419 N. New Hampshire Street in downtown Covington.

Race registration is $35 per participant and includes a FREE event T ̊shirt for those who register by March 7.
